_a_i_f_f_2_a_i_f_f_c is a command-line program which reads an AIFF digital audio
input file, and copies the header information and sample data to an
AIFF-C digital audio output file.
The output file will contain copies of all the AIFF chunks in the
original input file. The chunks may not appear in exactly the same order
as in the original file. The sample data in the AIFF-C output file will
not be compressed.
If the input AIFF file parses correctly, and the output file is written
with no errors, _a_i_f_f_2_a_i_f_c returns 0. If there is an error, _a_i_f_f_2_a_i_f_c
returns 1.
If invoked with no arguments, _a_i_f_f_2_a_i_f_c displays help.
If the verbose option is specified, _a_i_f_f_2_a_i_f_c periodically prints
messages as sample data is copied from the input file to the output file.
The AIFF and AIFF-C file format specifications are published by Apple
Computer Inc.
